What (We) Ate Wednesday

20 Jun

Hey there! (Thanks to Peas and Crayons for hosting)

If you haven’t popped by our blog in the past few days, we recently introduced our Terrific 21 Plan as our way to commit to a healthy lifestyle this summer.  Check it out! If you are doing something similar, let us know! We are all about supporting our fellow blog friends in their healthy living adventures.

Haley started her new job yesterday and I (Hanna) have been working full time for the past month. Full time jobs=little time to shop, plan and pack healthy lunches to eat on the go but we are trying to find the time to do so.  We know we can’t be perfect (eating-wise anyway 😉 ) all the time, but we are making an effort to stick with one of our Terrific 21 goals of eating clean. This means no processed “garbage” that will leave us hungry and lacking in energy.

Here’s what we’ve been eating this week:

CIMG4018TJ’s Greek Yogurt

CIMG4019Protein Pancakes and Peaches (Yes, those are peaches. Haley did an “awesome” job cutting them, didn’t she?)

PB 2 and Apples (perfect snack)

Chocolate PB2. Let me say that again: CHOCOLATE PB2!

Awesome Apple Oat Muffins (frozen and thawed for on-the-go breakfast)

Healthy snacks

Fiber-rich ham and spinach wrap

Arugula salad with rice and chicken

Hot cocoa (with sprinkles)

And the best, quick food experiment of the week?

CIMG4050Quick Oats with Dried Mango and Granola! So good!

That’s all for now.  Comment below! We would love to hear from you!

Are you taking on a wellness challenge this summer? What are your healthy living goals?

Chocolate pb2 is infinitely better than regular pb2. 😉

My favorite thing to do is to mix with with yogurt to make chocolate pb yogurt. It’s like healthy dessert. Topped with granola= perfection. I also love dipping apples into it or putting it on toast. But definitely my favorite is the yogurt. Oh! And you can make pancakes. I’ve been making a recipe every day for the past two weeks using pb2 haha. Check my blog if you want that recipe 🙂
