Junk Food Recovery

It’s no secret that Haley and I had a total binge weekend this past weekend. I mean hey, how often do you turn 21? I thought it would be appropriate to talk about how we, well, recovered from our weekend of junk food bliss.

Step 1: Water. Drink lots of it! Water is great at flushing toxins out of your body. Plus, it helps get rid of the bloat you feel after eating hamburgers and french fries, and cupcakes, and waffles, and fried chicken, and….you get the idea. We went a little overboard!


Step 2: Eat something healthy. Seems pretty logical, right? It totally helps!

Warning: The worst thing you can do after a junk food binge is to not eat at all. Believe me, that will just make matters worse (not to mention how bad that is for your body).  Although we were both tempted to forego our meals for the rest of eternity to make up for our diet embarrassment of a weekend, we didn’t!

And finally, Step 3: GET OVER IT! Everyone binges once and a while. As long as you don’t make it a regular thing, no worries!
